This development is known as the Felixstowe South Reconfiguration. The Felixstowe South Reconfiguration consists of the following works:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dredging of the entrance channel<\/li>\n<li>1350m of container quay<\/li>\n<li>Reclamation, ground improvement and paving of 75 ha<\/li>\n<li>Buildings, services<\/li>\n<li>400m of quay for tugs and small craft<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Port of Felixstowe tendered the development works on a Design and Construct basis.<\/p>\n<p>CGR worked for China Harbour Engineering Corporation (CHEC) in carrying out the tender design for their proposal. This involved extension liaison with CHEC&#8217;s offices both in the United Kingdom and Hong Kong along with the extensive number of subconsultants involved in a project of this size.<\/p>\n<p>Tenders were submitted in February 2005.<\/p>\n<p>The Port of Felixstowe was awarded approval for the development in February 2006.<\/p>\n<p>After re-tendering the works the contract was awarded to Costain Limited.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"template":"","class_list":["post-213","rtcl_listing","type-rtcl_listing","status-publish","hentry","rtcl_category-projects","rtcl_location-europe","rtcl_location-united-kingdom","listing-item","rtcl-listing-item"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.cgrgroup.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/rtcl_listing\/213","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.cgrgroup.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/rtcl_listing"}],"about":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.cgrgroup.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/rtcl_listing"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.cgrgroup.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.cgrgroup.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=213"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
