Project Description
As part of the redevelopment process of Piers 1 & 2, Cullen Grummitt & Roe has been commissioned to provide detailed design, site supervision and project management services for the construction of a new reefer area consisting of two new reefer blocks. The project included both civil and electrical works.
The works included demolition of existing pavements and concrete structures, earth movements, concrete works, steel works, stormwater conduits, electrical and communication pits, pavements and electrical and communication services.
The different types of pavement included concrete pavement, concrete and granite block pavement, asphalt pavement and temporary pavements to a total of 6,000 square meters.
The electrical works included the cabling and the installation of medium tension and low tension switchboards.
The works were carried out in two stages, in coordination with the Operations Management of Terminales Río de la Plata S. A.
