Project Description
The client required a 25m long pontoon to moor a new luxury motor vessel. The pontoon was to be supplied with mains power, phone lines, cable television connection, mains water and connection to Brisbane City Council sewerage network. A stainless steel refuelling line was also installed, with camlock connection for direct refuelling from a road tanker. Lighting for the pontoon, walkways and gates was to be controlled by a photoelectric cell.
Cullen Grummitt & Roe was the project manager for design and construction supervision for all works. This included obtaining approvals from, the Port of Brisbane Corporation and Brisbane City Council, design, calling of tenders, coordination of removal of existing under water piles, provision of services to the installation and site services during construction.
