Project Description
The project involved the refurbishment of a pontoon and glass underwater observation platform in Cairns and installation on Wistari Reef off Heron Island, Queensland. The project had to meet the strict requirements of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority.
Cullen Grummitt & Roe provided structural checks of the pontoon and designed an anchoring and mooring system to withstand tropical cyclones and to Lloyd\\\'s approval. Supervision and liaison with all authorities was also provided.
