Project Description
The Port of Brisbane reclaimed new areas of land for development of port-related infrastructure. Conaust Ltd was to develop a 10 hectare site into a container park for container storage, repair and service of empty containers. The project included extensive pavements, drainage, fire and water reticulation, and electrical and trade waste facilities. Buildings included an open repair workshop, and administration and amenities buildings. Pretrip and reefer facilities were also included.
Cullen Grummitt & Roe provided all planning, engineering design and documentation for the project. CGR was also responsible for the award of the contract, contract administration, project management and supervision. CGR has conducted further design and documentation for additional minor works at the facility in recent years.
