Project Description

The Glebe Island Car Terminal was proposed to make the most efficient use of available land in a busy port area in Sydney Harbour. Vehicles were to be unloaded directly from ships into the storage areas. Vehicles were to be then inspected and prepared for delivery to Sydney metropolitan and country dealers.

The project involved the design of the car storage facility on 6 levels and included car and truck storage areas and vehicle washing.

The dispatch truck loading area was within the building while the dock area has a column free space of 17.5m wide by 90.0m long.
