Kutch International Container Terminal, Kandla, India

Project Description

Kandla Port is located in the north-west of India on the Gulf of Kutch. Kandla Port Trust called tenders for the Build, Operate and Transfer of a new container terminal. Conditions and tender requirements changed on two occasions.

Cullen Grummitt & Roe, in conjunction with our client, completed master planning, terminal      layouts, preliminary design, development costs, development staging and preparation of the tender on both occasions.

Two separate visits to the site were carried out by CGR engineers during the tendering process.  Inspection of the existing facilities and discussions with the local port authority were carried out during the visits. Our client’s tender was successful.

Cullen Grummitt & Roe has been awarded the detailed design contract for the development of the terminal. Design works have commenced and will continue over the next year.
