Project Description

CGR has been commissioned to assist with the master planning and outline design for a new fishing harbour and marina associated with the development of a new town on the shores of the Bohai Sea in China.  The project is to provide an extensive new fishing harbour together with associated recreational, residential and commercial developments.

The new harbour will be created within a new breakwater extending approximately 3km from the existing shoreline. Extensive dredging and reclamation will be undertaken to develop the new harbour which will be sued by both commercial and leisure vessels.  The new marina is planned to accommodate 1000 leisure craft in the main marina together with a smaller number housed within a canal system linked to the residential development.  Access to the canal system will be via a lock to maintain the water levels within this system at a suitable level.
