CGR provided further planning and design for an expansion programme at Gateway Terminals India in Mumbai to increase the annual throughput capacity from 1.4 million TEU to 2.4 million TEU.

CGR Provided planning and design services to convert an existing bulk terminal to a modern, streamlined and efficient container terminal with a capacity in excess of 1.4 million TUE. CGR also undertook all contract documentation preparation, on site construction supervision and contract administration for the many and varied contracts involved.

Following the completion of the container berths for the Port of Mundra, Gujarat Adani Port Limited (GAPL) began the process of extending the facility to include a multipurpose berth primarily for bulk commodities and container trade. Cullen Grummitt & Roe initially provided assistance to GAPL in the planning and development of tender documents for the project. The project was then tendered on a Design and Construct basis and CGR teamed with local contractor Simplex Piles Ltd.

Jawaharlal Nehru Port is located along the eastern shore of Mumbai harbour on the eastern side of Elephanta Island. Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust called tenders in 1996 to Build, Operate and Transfer a new two berth container terminal adjacent to the existing 680m quay operation of JNPT.
