Cullen Grummitt & Roe was commissioned to provide further planning and design services at Gateway Terminals India in Mumbai, India, to increase the annual throughput from 1.4 million TEU to 2.4 million TEU. As part of the project CGR carried out design and supervision works for major electrical upgrading works.

Cullen Grummitt & Roe was commissioned to provide planning and design services to convert an existing bulk terminal into a modern container terminal with a capacity of 1.4 million TEU. As part of the commission CGR was responsible for designing the electrical system for the facility. CGR also prepared the tender documentation, evaluated the tender submissions and was responsible for the project management and site supervision of the works.

CGR Provided planning and design services to convert an existing bulk terminal to a modern, streamlined and efficient container terminal with a capacity in excess of 1.4 million TUE. CGR also undertook all contract documentation preparation, on site construction supervision and contract administration for the many and varied contracts involved.

Following the completion of the container berths for the Port of Mundra, Gujarat Adani Port Limited (GAPL) began the process of extending the facility to include a multipurpose berth primarily for bulk commodities and container trade. Cullen Grummitt & Roe initially provided assistance to GAPL in the planning and development of tender documents for the project. The project was then tendered on a Design and Construct basis and CGR teamed with local contractor Simplex Piles Ltd.
